Do you have any idea how much it would cost to charter a private jet for your next holiday destination?
We did some research for you (and for us for that matter) and concluded that we will definitely go by plane – but which one – Private Jet or Commercial flight? Well, lets start with a brief introduction in taxi aviation.
The first private jet was engineered in 1957 by Lockheed JetStar with ten passenger and two crew-member seats.
Business Jets are categorized according to size. Very light jets are designed to have four to seven passenger seats and two crew-member seats. Light jets have five to eleven seats. Mid-size jets have seven to ten seats. Super mid-size jets have ten to eleven seats. Lastly there are large jets that can accommodate thirteen to nineteen passengers.
OK, now you likely guess that the cost of your airline ticket will depend on which plane you will pick, whether you will travel alone, with friends or in a group. But is that totally true? According to our findings, even if the total cost for a charter trip is split among 10 people, the cost each person would cover for flying with Private Jet would still be significant. Of course, the price will differ in various countries and your choice of airline company, but…
here is our rough conclusion:
If you’re planning to fly to the Bahamas for instance, you can look to pay from $1,050 per hour of flying for the smallest jet, all the way up to $7,500 per hour if you decide to charter a large cabin jet.
So, lets assume that you live 5 hours away from your dreamy destination and you want to go on a budget – with a good bargain your private jet will cost you around $10,000 for a round trip. And yes, unlike commercial flights with big airlines, you won’t have to take your shoes off at the airport.
So what is your decision?
