As their latest reveal Mercedes has brought up their most stunning and recent model of the EQS series, a sub-brand specialized in the creation of luxurious and all-electric vehicles. With their focus on the need of mobility and luxury, this Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS brings a new era and concept impossible to ignore.
The creation of this car with the vision EQS aims for a distant future electric S-Class. This model uses a pair of motors, one for the front and the other for the rear axles and their intention of this distribution is to offer the most power-efficiency possible. The battery is located on the floor between the motors.
If we focus on its performance, Its power rating is quite respectable, being able to contain 469-Horsepower (350 kW), that is an operating range of 435 miles (700Km) which is outstanding but not unique in the market anymore since the creation of similar models are taking place this year (For example, some models of Tesla and Porsche have this capacity already).
It can accelerate from 0 to 60mph / 0-100kmh in just 4.5 seconds, a certain fast setting and not only the power rating in impressive but the power charging output is adequate to 350kW, being able to charge 80% of the battery in just 20 minutes.
Resourceful and Luxurious design
The main goal is that aside from creating a free-carbon emission vehicle is to create a whole new comfortable and luxurious experience. Surpassing the limits sets for a regular car model and create a futuristic design.
The whole design is aesthetic and dynamic, with an attractive design Mercedes likes to call as “Bow”; this car is designed to be breathtaking and appealing with the lights as the main highlight and we can notices this with just a glimpse of the exterior of The Vision.
It has a 360º exterior light belt creating a sharp division between the black and silver sections. Not to mention the incredible grille filled with 940 individual LEDs on a black panel shaped, of course, as miniature three-pointed stars. On the rear as well there are 229 LEDs also shaped characteristically as three-pointed stars.
The futuristic interior is created artistically inspired in luxury yachts, yes, quite unexpected. With a combined dashboard, center console and armrest a new fluid and spatial-like interior is created aiming for that deep and open architecture given by a luxurious boat. With four independent seats and a flat floor, the feeling of cabin-like is completed.
Along with the development of the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS, the use of sustainable materials is constantly practiced in brilliant ways such as interiors of leather variation made with recycled plastic bottles, roof liners textiles made with ocean waste plastic. These sustainable materials are in contrast with the diamond pattern of rose gold-colored highlights. The final majestic look achieved displays Mercedes’s capacity to create a luxurious experience with sustainable materials and sets a new prospect in the use of clean plastic.
