Lucy Liu story
Her full name is Lucy Alexis Liu Yu Ling. Her parents immigrated from Beijing and Shanghai and went to Taiwan as adults, but met up later in New York. Born in Queens, New York, Lucy grew up exactly where a soul who desires to be a Hollywood star wants to begin.
Interestingly, her education was far from acting, since she earned a bachelor’s degree in Asian languages and cultures. However, that charm and smile were destined to find its way to glory. Basement Arts – Student-run theatre at the Lucy’s University of Michigan was a ticket to her acting immortality. In 1989 she auditioned for the production of Alice in Wonderland where she was chosen for the leading role. 1997 brought a huge breakthrough for Lucy, as she was cast in a role on Ally McBeal. This role of Ling Woo, a Mandarin-speaking Chinese American lawyer, brought her world fame at the time.
Career achievements just got higher for Lucy. Charlie’s Angels, Kill Bill, and Elementary have cemented Lucy’s career as a first class actor. In 2019. Lucy Liu will be given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Liu has studied various religions, such as Buddhism, Taoism, and Jewish mysticism. She is also known for her artwork under a pseudonym, Yu Ling, as a visual artist. She has had several gallery and museum exhibitions.
Lucy is a single parent by choice and has a son, Rockwell Lloyd Liu, who was born in 2015.
