Home » Interview Interview Pop CultureExclusive Interview with Erik Fellows Hello Eric…Congrats on your release of “starf*cker” how did you get involved with this project?Thank you so much! I was offered the role by the director and my good friend Mark David. Originally I turned it down. I had worked with him on a handful of previous projects and had success with them. However, Mark being the convincing voice of reason, I was convinced to play Jimmy by mark after some time. The next thing I knew, I fully trusted him and now found it my challenge to play Jimmy and bring him to life. When and where was “starf*cker” filmed? The film initially went into production in 2017 and underwent many changes. The #metoo movement started while we were amidst reshoots, so we decided it was a bad time to complete the film and decided to shelve it. In 2020 we picked up production again, feeling out the market and atmosphere of the business. We decided to reshoot about 35% of the film and make some strong changes and choices on the path to finishing the film. We wrapped production on it finally in late 2020. As far as locations, we did a majority of the filming in and around the Hollywood areas, in the valley, downtown LA, and malibu. What was it like working with Mark David? How many projects have you worked on together so far? Do you think you’ll work on more?Working with Mark David is quite amazing. He’s a very close friend of mine, and this is my sixth project/film and third project as a lead in the films with mark! He is very much an actor’s director. He has a very good eye and vision since he is a wonderful cinematographer and can capture the essence and character worlds so gracefully! Mark and I will do projects together until the day we die! Brothers forever! Are there any memorable moments from filming?Of course! There are actually too many to list, but if I were to list a few, I would say some of the most memorable moments are when we would shoot gorilla-style outside of properties that we did not have permits for, and we just went on a whim and ended up making gold out of those scenes! Another memorable moment would be when I was lying in the casket pretending to be dead. I don’t know if that was a good memory, but it was a moment of self-reflection, and imagining yourself in that position in a casket creates lots of different thoughts while filming made me realize I’m happy to be alive.INTERVIEW WITH ERIK FELLOWS, MOST KNOWN FOR HIS ROLE IN “DAYS OF OUR LIVES.”That’s positive on the negative side, and it makes you think about when that day comes, but it will keep you positive. But to be honest, there are so many moments, very funny moments. I mean, for god’s sake, I was in a sock, naked, so take that for what it’s worth!Did you take any souvenirs from the set?I sure did. I kept a sock! What do you love most about acting? Who has influenced you most in your field? What I love the most about acting is I get to create and become something else from what I am in everyday life. I get to step outside of reality and invent some character or be in something I have not been able to dip into before.I would say my influences have been actors such as Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, and Ryan Reynolds; they all have a charisma that is out of this world and what it takes to be in the position that they’re in, the movie stars they become. So I dissect their every film, interview basically their life story! They are all intriguing in their own right! Are there any particular projects you’d like to get involved with in the future?Well, when you ask an actor this question, of course, there are, but I’ve gotten to play in many different genres: comedies, dark comedies, dramas, thrillers, and horrors. I’ve played many different characters: psychopaths, narcissists, killers, lots of different goofy characters, types w/cops, photographers, lawyers, and many others as well! I would love to play a really good guy-next-door role. I’ve never really gotten the chance to play the good wholesome take-the-guy-home-to-your-mom role yet! So if anything, I would like to dabble in that and see what I can come up with.Do you ever adopt a fashion style for courting new roles?Well, yes and no; it depends on when I steal from the wardrobe when I wrap, haha. But yeah, I have changed up some of my styles over the years because of the characters that I have played. I almost convinced myself to get a neck tattoo after my role as Bobby in my purgatory series. But after giving it much thought, I realize that it might not be the best idea to have a neck tattoo in this business, having to cover it up for the roles and to look like I just got out of jail. Hahaha. What projects do you have coming out soon?I have a handful of projects coming out as far as feature films. My latest film Divorce Bait will be released in the fall of 2022′. I also have films No Tears in Hell, Love is in Bel Air, Zero Road, and Sunlight, releasing later this year and or in early to mid-2023. My latest production that I’m starring in is a psychological thriller/ horror film called “a Beating Heart, ” I’m also one of the executive producers and starring opposite Cybill Shepherd.Follow Erik Fellows on Instagram hereYou might also like:Share This 09/10/2022
