Marilyn Monroe actually was extremely intelligent. She had an IQ of 168. She was also one of the first women to own her own movie production company, Marilyn Monroe Productions. The company released only one movie though, The Prince and the Showgirl (1957).
Marilyn was an actress, model, and singer. As an actress, she appeared in at least 25 movies. The movie “Some Like It Hot” is her best-rated movie. She was nominated for 4 Golden Globes and won three of them. But she is also one of a few leading Hollywood actors who have never won an Oscar.
Interestingly, Marilyn won Playboy Playmate of the Month award. That cover was actually first Playboy edition, published back in December 1953. Photograph of Marilyn waving with her hand helped Playboy to sell 54 thousand copies of the magazine at 50 cents each.

Marilyn Monroe wrote her autobiography “My Story” but the book was not published until a decade after her death.
She was diagnosed with Borderline personality disorder. Unfortunately, Marilyn died of a barbiturate overdose in the evening of August 4th, 1962, at her home in Los Angeles, California.
