But sometimes, something just comes up. Like this Aston Martin DBC Concept that just exploded in front of our eyes. Blast from the past!Transportation designer Samir Sadikhov has presented this supercar design study that brings a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout into this beautiful concept. The silhouette of Aston Martin DBC Concept is actually referencing the design profile of the DBR1. For those who are born close to the end of the 20th century or even in this century, DBR1 was a sports racing car built by Aston Martin in 1956. It was intended for the World Sportscar Championship as well as non-championship sportscar races at the time.Aston Martin dbr1But this is not a story about this beautiful retro piece. The Aston Martin DBC Concept features a number of traditional Aston Martin design cues such as the front grille shape and the typical side strakes found on all Aston Martin models. The Azerbaijani talented designer Samir Sadikhov said: “the design direction of the DBC was to make the car look like a muscular athlete wearing a tailor-made suit.” We can not agree more with this statement. The DBC possesses a unique, sleek and sexy style that not every concept car is capable to offer. This DBC Concept definitely made us think why the hell is Aston Martin still waiting to collect the money?Aston Martin DBC concept perfectionIf you like this design, we suggest you see more of Samir’s designs on his website here.We also recommend you to opt into our bi-monthly newsletter on about page.Like to read on concept cars?
